Unexpected Police detail!

Wednesday, October 23

Lumber delivery

At 8:00am I heard alot of activity in the front of the house!

I looked out the front window and saw a police officer directing traffic at the top of Old Ayer Road....

This photo was taken standing at my kitchen sink.  You can clearly see the policeman out in the middle of the intersection.

My first thought:
This police detail is not in the budget!

I went out to thank him and he said: "Oh no problem!  I saw the lumber truck in the road and thought I would stop for a few minutes.
It will be exciting to see the addition go up!"

Wow it is great to live in a small town.

To the left you can see the police cruiser and the lumber being stacked up in the front yard.

The process took approximately 15 minutes for the forklift to unload the truck.

Here is the foundation prior to framing on Wednesday morning a view from the
front...

and a view from the back of the house.
